Burdened No More

At times the burdens of life can make you depressed. It can weigh you down and deplete your energy and enthusiasm for life. It can cause you to isolate yourself, and can make doubts grow to daunting proportions. God’s inspiring Word provides a shining light into a world filled with darkness.

Despite whatever you’re going through, choose to believe God’s promise is revealed in His indelible Word, with attributes of love, truth, and hope.

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” –Isaiah 40:29-31

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” –Proverbs 3:5-6

There were days when the worries of life pulled me down.

Often, I felt burdened hoping for brighter days to come around.

Life’s been hard with nothing much to show.

I grew aimlessly tired in a world of turmoil and woe.

I needed a spiritual lifeline to rescue me from despair.

God was listening intently, so I promptly knelt in prayer.

His awesome grace and mercy swiftly turned my life around.

I once was lost, but now I’m truly found.
